How this instance works

What this is

A reader for the open web. It follows feeds, and it publishes what people here write as feeds of their own. Replies travel the same way. Nothing here needs an account to read.

What we keep

When this instance reads a feed, it stores the bytes it received, one record per reading, and the version it decided to show — along with the reason it chose that one. That history is what lets a parser bug be fixed without losing anything, and it is what lets anyone ask where a post came from.

Raw copies of ordinary posts are discarded after 30 days. Copies tied to a dispute, a report or a moderation decision are kept, because that is where evidence actually matters.

What we do not do

No behavioural profiling, no recommendation algorithm, no advertising, no generated or summarised content. Your timeline is the feeds you follow, newest first. Administrators cannot sign in as you, and there is no impersonation feature to be abused.

Moderation

Anyone can report a post. Moderators uphold or dismiss reports, and every decision is written to an audit log — including the owner's. Blocks can apply to one account or to the whole instance; instance-wide ones are a moderator decision.

A feed published by someone else is not ours to edit. When a source deletes or changes a post, we follow. When a source returns 410 Gone, we stop.

Your data

Your subscriptions export as OPML and any other reader will take the file. Your posts travel in your own feed, addressed by permalink, so anything already published stays reachable from your own copy. Ask the operator for an export or a deletion and you get one.

Feeds we read are public documents, and we preserve the author, the source, the original address and the date on everything we show. Public does not mean ours: if you are an author and want your work off this instance, write to the operator and it goes.

This instance is run by whoever operates it. Removal requests, moderation appeals and security reports all go to them.
